                | Windows Development Halt
                Announced May 10, 1999 |
            We at OverTech
Technologies kind of dislike Microsoft - So we've decided that we will suspend
Development on all Windows Products indefinately
shortly after the final release of the iNet
            Web Browser.
Instead of Developing Windows software, we will
convert to Universal and Pro-Linux technologies.
After the release of Caldera's OpenLinux KDE GUI (which many people may
mistake as Windows98 at first glance) - Linux has earned our support towards having us
develop user-friendly products for the Linux OS
(Particularly OpenLinux KDE). We will also start
going into making software that works on most
computers such as products based on JAVA and
            web-based.

                | OTV... Coming soon to OverTech? April 29,
                1999 |
            Negotiations on the
inside are beginning to pick up again that there may
be enough possible free time in the OverTech
Development schedule to develop a web-based TV
station with all live tech content based on a Web
Page (for faster connections and program
controlabliliy) . On Demand will be available but you
probably will not want it. Plans include CERT alerts
and shows such as C|Net Radio. This is only on the
drawing board and will take about 1 year to be fully
erected saying it is approved by the OverTech
Executive Committee. If you have any suggestions,
please e-mail us at [email protected]

                | WARNING: Got Chernobyl?
Then get rid of it! April 24,
                1999 |
            OverTech News
Desk: You thought Melissa was bad? What about a
virus that can totally make your computer inoperable?
The CIH Virus 1.2 ( more commonly known now as the
Chernobyl virus since it attacks on the day of the
Nuclear Disaster) is triggered to begin April 26,
1999. The best thing to do is update your Anti-Virus
ASAP. This will get you protection from this virus.
Also, after updating, for safety purposes, do a virus
scan. It may take a while but it will be worth it if
any virus is on your system. You should also do a
virus scan on April 26 because the virus is may be
hidden from the Anti Virus and the Operating System.
Please stay tuned to OverTech Technology News for more information on
            this virus.
